House cleaning

What a cleaning company website actually needs

Cleaning is bought on trust and decided on price, and most cleaning websites refuse to talk about either. This one does both on the first screen. Open it and see how far you get before you would need to phone anyone.

Casement Cleaning Co. is not a real business. It is a demonstration site built by us, and it says so on its own first screen.

What this demo is

Casement Cleaning Co. is invented. The website is not — it is a finished build we made so you can walk through a working cleaning site instead of looking at a picture of one. The prices, the service area and the FAQs are all there and all connected.

The four things a cleaning site has to do

Put a number on the page. This is the one most cleaning companies get wrong, and the reasoning behind hiding the price is usually “every home is different.” That is true, and it is also true of every trade that does publish prices. What a visitor takes from a site with no prices is not “they are flexible” — it is “this will be expensive and I will have to talk to someone to find out.” The demo publishes a starting figure for each job type and explains what moves it.

Build a page for the jobs people search separately. Nobody searches for “cleaning services.” They search for move-out cleaning, post-renovation cleaning, deep clean. Those are different jobs, at different prices, bought under different pressure — a move-out clean is bought by someone with a deposit at stake and a deadline this week. This demo gives move-out cleaning its own page for exactly that reason, and it is the page most likely to bring in work.

Name the neighbourhoods. “Ottawa and surrounding areas” matches nothing anyone types. The demo lists eleven real ones — Kanata through Orléans — on a single honest service-area page, which is the right way to do it. Spinning up a near-identical page per neighbourhood with only the name changed is a doorway-page violation, and Google acts on it.

Answer the uncomfortable questions. Do I have to be home. What if I am not happy with it. Is it the same team every time. A stranger is coming into someone’s house — these are the questions that decide the booking, and they are marked up as FAQ data so AI assistants can quote the answers too.

What is underneath it

  • LocalBusiness schema with real opening hours, so the business details are machine-readable and can be kept identical to the Google Business Profile. Hours that disagree between a website and a Google listing is one of the most common local SEO problems there is, and one of the easiest to fix.
  • FAQPage markup on the questions, which is what puts those answers in front of AI answer engines rather than just human readers.
  • A real page per job — services, pricing, move-out, reviews, service area, about, contact — instead of one long homepage with anchor links. One page ranks for roughly one thing.
  • Server-rendered HTML. The AI crawlers behind ChatGPT and Perplexity do not run JavaScript, so a site whose content only appears after scripts run is a blank page to them. Everything here is in the HTML on arrival. If you want the detail on why that matters, we wrote about it.

What it would take to make it yours

Your prices, your neighbourhoods, your team, your photographs. The structure — published pricing, a page for each job type, a named service area, the objection-handling FAQ — carries across to any home-service business: cleaning, junk removal, lawn care, pressure washing, snow clearing.

A build like this is our Local Launch package. If you already have a site and it is the pricing page and the local visibility that are missing, Website Rescue plus Search Growth is usually the better shape.

The pricing section of the Casement Cleaning Co. site, headed "What house cleaning in Ottawa actually costs", explaining that recurring cleans start at $149 a visit and that every job is quoted flat and in advance.
Published prices with the reasoning next to them — the page does the part of the sales call nobody enjoys.
