Web design and SEO pricing in Canada
Most agencies make you book a call to find out what anything costs. Here are our actual starting prices, what moves them up or down, and where we sit against the cheaper options — so you can decide whether to contact us before you ever speak to anyone. We work with small businesses across Canada, and these prices are the same wherever you are.

- Your business listed on Bing as well as Google, so you are not missing half the searches
- Your site registered with Google's free reporting tool, so you can see what people typed before they found you
- A map of your pages sent to Google, and every page submitted so none of them sit unnoticed
- Speed, search setup and accessibility all measured with Google's own tester, then pushed as high as the site will go
- The permission files added that let ChatGPT and other AI assistants read your site and recommend you

What changes the price
These are the things that actually move a quote up or down. If none of them apply to you, expect to land near the starting number.
How many pages, and how different they are
Five pages that share one layout is a different job from fifteen that each need their own. Page count matters less than how many distinct designs sit behind it.
Whether the words already exist
If you have your service descriptions written, we build. If they need writing from scratch, that is real work and it is priced as such. Most small businesses land somewhere in between.
Bookings, payments, or anything with a login
A contact form is included everywhere. Online booking, e-commerce, or customer accounts add moving parts that have to be built, tested and kept working.
Whether we are replacing something or starting fresh
Moving an existing site means preserving the pages Google already ranks and redirecting the ones that go. Skipping that is how a redesign quietly loses a business its traffic.
Photography
Real photos of your work beat stock every time, and we would rather use yours. If there are none, that gap has to be filled somehow.
For ongoing SEO — how competitive your searches are
Ranking for a trade in Cumberland is not the same job as ranking for one in Victoria. More competitors chasing the same searches means more work to get past them.
What every project includes
These are not upsells. They are the baseline, on the smallest job we take.
- You own the site, the domain, and the content outright when the invoice is paid
- Core Web Vitals in the green, not "we will look at speed later"
- Accessible markup, keyboard navigation, and real colour contrast
- Schema markup so Google and AI assistants can read what you do
- Analytics configured, so you can see what is actually happening
- No lock-in — you can take the site elsewhere whenever you want
What people ask about pricing
Why is ongoing SEO $500 a month when I have seen $299?
Because at $299 a month almost nobody is doing the work by hand. That price generally buys automated reports, directory submissions and a monthly PDF, which is why it can be sold at that price at all. Canadian guidance for local SEO that actually moves rankings sits around $800 to $2,500 a month, so $500 sits below that range rather than above it. If your budget is genuinely $299, we would rather tell you honestly that a one-off Google Business Profile setup will do more for you than a cheap retainer.
How do your prices compare locally?
A new site here is commonly quoted from a few hundred dollars for a template up to around $3,000 for a custom build. We sit at the bottom of that range on purpose. What you get at our price is still a custom build rather than a template: fast, accessible, structured for search, with the Google Business Profile set up and the site actually submitted for indexing. If a cheap template really is the right answer for your business, we will tell you that rather than sell you something larger.
How long before I see results from SEO?
Three to six months before movement is meaningful, and closer to twelve before the picture is complete. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either buying links, which carries real risk to your site, or counting rankings for searches nobody performs. We report on actual Search Console data, including the months where the numbers do not move.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. Ongoing work is month to month with 30 days notice. Locking clients into a year is how agencies protect themselves from their own results, and we would rather keep earning it each month.
What if I only need one thing fixed?
Then that is what you should pay for. Not everything needs a package — if your site mostly works and one thing is broken, say so and we will quote just that piece.
Do you charge for the first conversation?
No. The first conversation, the free site check, and an honest opinion about whether you need us at all are free. If the answer is that your current site is fine, we will tell you that.
What am I actually paying for each month on Website Care?
Backups, security patching, uptime monitoring, small content changes, and periodic speed checks. It is the difference between a site that still works in three years and one that quietly breaks and nobody notices until a customer mentions it.
Not sure which one you need?
Tell us what your business does and what is not working. We will tell you which package fits, or that you do not need one — and there is no charge for that conversation.
