HDTech — commercial equipment repair

The challenge

HDTech repairs commercial kitchen, laundry, and refrigeration equipment for businesses across Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand — including Napier, Hastings, and Havelock North. Their previous site was built on a heavy page-builder setup that made it slow to load and hard to keep updated, and it didn’t clearly separate the different equipment types and services they actually repair.

What we did

We rebuilt the site on a lightweight, custom WordPress theme instead of a stacked page-builder — one strong page per major service (commercial kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, refrigeration, bakery equipment, coffee machines, dishwashers, electrical automation, and LED signage) rather than a single page trying to cover everything. Each service page was written around real customer questions: what’s repaired, who it’s for, what faults are common, and how to get help — with a clear phone and contact path throughout.

Local SEO foundation

Service-area pages were built for HDTech’s real coverage area rather than duplicated city pages with only the place name swapped, and business details were aligned exactly with their Google Business Profile — name, service area, phone, hours, and categories — so search engines and customers see consistent information everywhere.

Where it stands

The site is live at hdtech.co.nz. We’re continuing to monitor performance and local visibility, and will publish measured before/after results here once enough data has accumulated to report honestly.
